About

Senry Alvin was born and raised in Jakarta. From an early age, he expressed himself through drawing, sketching on anything he could find, from house walls to tables and sofas. His passion for art and film began in childhood after watching Jurassic Park in the cinema. Without realizing it, his love for film gradually expanded into other forms of visual art.

He later pursued a degree in graphic design, where he developed a strong foundation in design discipline, understanding form and function, and learning how visual works communicate ideas and emotions. This path eventually led him to video and film as his primary medium.

Growing up watching MTV shaped his love for music videos as an expressive and experimental format that translates sound into visual storytelling. In 2017, he began his career as a music video director and has since collaborated with artists such as Reality Club, Raisa, RL Klav, Rendy Pandugo, and Iwan Fals.

His journey later expanded into the commercial world, where his background in music, fashion, and lifestyle brought a fresh perspective to the advertising industry. Through a personal, experimental approach and strong visual language, he aims to elevate brand films into more emotional and meaningful experiences. His works on commercial include for brands like Toyota, Honda, Gudang Garam, Pertamina, Converse, Disney, Oppo, etc.

Currently based in Jakarta, Senry is writing and developing personal short film projects while still working on commercial, continuing to pursue the childhood dream that first sparked his love for cinema, while remaining open and ready to explore creative opportunities worldwide.
